Hacienda Palo Santo - Ecuador

About Us:
-----------------
At Hacienda Palo Santo, we are a family-owned Ecuadorian company dedicated to the production and export of premium, single-origin cacao, including certified organic options.

Organic agriculture is at the heart of how we operate and reflects our commitment to protecting the environment, caring for our land, and producing cacao responsibly for future generations.

Our work is guided by strong family values: honesty, commitment, respect, and a long-term vision that guides every decision we make.

-----------------
Our Farms and Production Capacity:
-----------------

Our cacao comes from three distinct farms in Ecuador. Each farm has its own origin, characteristics, and production profile, allowing us to offer different cacao options according to our customers’ requirements.

Across our three farms, we manage approximately 350 hectares dedicated to cacao production, distributed as follows:

Hacienda Palo Santo – Cerecita: 160 hectares, with an estimated monthly availability of up to 12,000 kg.
Hacienda La Comuna – Naranjal: 100 hectares, with an estimated monthly availability of up to 10,000 kg.
Hacienda Sofía – Naranjal: 90 hectares, with an estimated monthly availability of up to 8,000 kg.

Together, our three farms provide a combined estimated availability of up to 30,000 kg of cacao beans per month, subject to harvest conditions, quality specifications, and prior commercial commitments.
-----------------
Quality and Traceability:
-----------------

We manage every stage of the process, from cultivation and harvesting to fermentation, drying, quality control, and export.

This integrated approach allows us to ensure complete traceability, consistent quality, and compliance with international food safety and sustainability standards.

Our cacao is uniformly fermented for approximately four to five days and naturally sun-dried under covered tunnels, helping us achieve consistent moisture and fermentation levels.

We also comply with the requirements of the European Union Deforestation Regulation, supporting traceable and deforestation-free supply chains.

-----------------
Products and Markets:
-----------------

In addition to cacao beans, we develop a variety of cacao derivatives designed to meet the specific needs of chocolate manufacturers and food industry companies around the world.

We are interested in developing long-term commercial relationships with customers in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia, with particular interest in expanding our presence in South Korea.

-----------------
Our Commitment:
-----------------

We believe that every business relationship should be built on mutual trust. For this reason, we work with transparency, open communication, and a permanent commitment to creating value for our customers, employees, farming communities, and business partners.

Our greatest source of pride is not only producing exceptional cacao, but also building lasting relationships. We believe that the true success of a first order is demonstrated when customer satisfaction leads to a second order and, over time, develops into a long-term partnership.

Just as we care for our family and our land, we also care for the trust that our customers place in us.
